Portsmouth
Take a stroll down through this page of creative writing, photography and observations of young people as they respond to their city of Portsmouth.

Immerse yourself in the city by listening to this soundscape while you explore.

Using modelling clay the group made objects to represent places and landmarks of Portsmouth.

where things are found.

where people come and go.

people come to use.

always visible but purpose unknown.

where people enjoy the view.

where people can meet eachother.

where people can buy their food.

contains empty shells.

holding bikes together.

trains to get away, trains to come home.

everyone buys fashion.

keeping you healthy and safe.

The group spent some time on the beach making pictures with the stones. You can make your own picture below by dragging pebbles onto the sheet of paper.

Finally the group made maps and lists of places they see everyday, and also places that are important to them and their identity.
Through WhatsApp the group document places that define the city to them and shared them with each other as they walked around photographing their personal landmarks.
